I have put some pretty cheap reusable bags through some rigorous use and they last long enough to more than justify their use. One thing to avoid is overloading bags. I found out through trial and error that the ones I get aren't built to withstand more than about 12 pounds each. I bring four with me on errands and I am not likely to overload any one bag.Martinhttp://plasticless.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8656465866226550980.post-52987605372765335312009-05-04T15:47:00.000-04:002009-05-04T15:47:00.000-04:00It is great that so many of the stores are offerin...It is great that so many of the stores are offering reusable bags for sale but I wish so many of them were not made out of plastic. Sure, they look like cute woven bags but the content is really plastic. My concern is: what happens to those cheap reusable plastic bags that will eventually wear out? They'll likely end up in the landfill. *sigh* Then again, I guess ANY reusable bag that wears out will likely end up in a landfill. Still, I'd rather see cloth bags than plastic ones. The Green Cathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06848469930547055532noreply@blogger.com
